I've been busy

A week's gone by since my last post...don't think I haven't been working! It has been a productive week. I finally finished knitting the pieces parts of my husband's sweater...now I have to block and sew together.

I really hate that part of a sweater, so I have cast on the sweater using the Burly Spun yarn. This one is really going to go fast and when I finish knitting, I'll have a sweater I can wear instead of having to sew together!

Then, I couldn't avoid a good deal, and purchased some Cascade Bollicine Maxi (70% Merino and 30% acrylic, machine washable) from Webs (www.yarn.com). I was initially going to knit a Wallaby Sweater, but changed my mind after casting on and decided to knit another Knitting Pure and Simple pattern, a hoodie tunic. So I ripped out what I had knit...thankfully, just a few rows, and cast on the hoodie.

I also cast on a pair of socks using my Cascade Fixation. I think I started to long for nice weather, which led me to thinking about summer socks, which led me back to my stash and the Fixation. I cast on a pattern called Garden Partie. They are really turning out to be a nice lacey sock.

Besides these projects, I'm nearly done with the second blue Orchard sock (see previous posts) and have cast on a cable purse out of a bulky yarn. I started this purse for a fundraiser being held at the end of the month.

As you can see, I have been pretty busy. Now I'll get back to knitting and give you an update soon.
