I am back on line. I was away for the last week and a half for a funeral - rest in peace Elizabeth. While I was traveling, I finished one of the socks I had started after the first of the year, and have nearly half of the foot of the second sock finished. It will soon be done and I will be back to my husband's sweater.
Socks are really a wonderful project to knit while traveling. They are small and portable. The only thing you really need to pay attention to when putting them away is dropping stitches from your double points. It can be pretty frustrating when you have to pick them up - especially when they have run! I travelled through several airports, both in the country and out of the country, and had no problems through security checks. It really does surprise me, as aluminum double points are pretty sharp objects...mind you, I'm not complaining. Having something to work on really helped to pass the time!

Rasa,
Glad to hear you are home safely. Your socks and sweater look terrific. I can't wait to knit with you again soon.
